As an Assistant Controller, you are responsible for accurate financial administration, timely reporting, and reliable analyses for our location in Leeuwarden. You act as the financial conscience of the organization and work closely with the Finance Manager, Business Controller, your colleagues within Finance, and various other departments
• Processing and reviewing financial data, including journal entries and VAT and ICP filings.
• Performing cost control, project control, internal audits, and cashflow planning.
• Preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and audit files.
• Supporting accounts receivable management, including credit limits and contact with the credit insurer.
• Identifying discrepancies and actively contributing to process improvements within Finance.
• Collaborating constructively with other departments within Neways.

This is a 32‑hour per week position; a reduced number of hours or days can be discussed.
• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Economics or Accountancy.
• At least 5 years of experience in a financial role.
• Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of InforCE, ISPnext, Prophix or Coupa is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills; knowledge of Power BI is an advantage.
• Knowledge of IFRS and/or Dutch GAAP.
• Good command of Dutch and English.
• A proactive, analytical, and accurate work approach combined with strong communication skills.
