The College of Engineering (COE) Dean’s Office at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) — a land grant, Big Ten, and R1 institution — seeks to hire a non-tenure track Professor of Practice at the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor in the Master of Engineering Management (MEM) program, beginning Fall semester 2026.
Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to participate in a variety of non-class activities that address the College’s teaching mission such as advising, mentoring, and outreach. Responsibilities for the candidates based in Lincoln would include 90% teaching and 10% service, to include networking with industry, involvement with faculty in other departments who may teach courses in the MEM program and fostering interdisciplinary ties with appropriate departments and programs within the university. If teaching remotely, responsibility is 100% teaching with occasional service to the program.

The MEM is a professional graduate degree for working professionals. This non-thesis, 30-credit-hour program is ranked highly by US News and certified by the American Society for Engineering Management. The MEM is fully online and delivered asynchronously via Canvas, with no residency requirements. Students have STEM degrees and are non-traditional adult learners with average 8 years of relevant industry experience, substantially or fully supported by their employers to finance their education.
