Carpenter

We are looking to hire a skilled carpenter with knowledge of various carpentry techniques. You will be responsible for layout, installation, repairing, finishing, and maintaining various structures, fixtures, and buildings. Other duties will include designing, cutting, and measuring materials according to a client's requirements.

Responsibilities:

Be able to read and interpret drawings.

Assist supervisors with structural design, planning, layout and installation.

Repair and install doors, windows, drywall, cabinets, stairs and other fixtures as required.

Be able to assess the quality of woodwork and materials.

Be able to work with tools, machinery and other equipment.

Comply with local building codes and health and safety regulations.

Provide excellent customer service.

Be able to stand, climb, pull and lift heavy objects for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

High school diploma is an asset
2-5 years of experience in commercial or residential carpentry
Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications
Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation
