RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under broad direction of the dispatch supervisor and the operations Manager, he/she performs dispatching functions for our Amsterdam Operations Team. The Operator plans and dispatches drivers for pickups, deliveries, organizes all transport around airport Area and occasionally internation drives.

• Dispatch of pickup and delivery jobs

• Organize domestic and international road transports
• Liaise with our sub contracted drivers, airlines, handling agents, customs officers and customers
• Follow up on shipments while the goods are I the custody of the above partners.
• Monitor and track ongoing shipments, react to any deviations
• Communicate with all other world courier departments
• Update of our IT systems

Requirements:

• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with drivers, airlines, agents, and customers
• Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to monitor shipments and react quickly to deviations or unexpected situations
• Good level of English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus
• Flexible and able to work under pressure, including handling time-sensitive shipments
• Team player with a hands-on and responsible attitude

Minimum skills required:

• Experience in dispatching, transport coordination, logistics, or a similar operational role
• Experience working with IT systems / transport management systems (TMS) is an advantage
• Good understanding of road transport processes, ideally including airport-related logistics
