Role description

The Event Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering events from concept briefing through completion. The role manages the full event lifecycle, ensuring events meet their objectives, are delivered within budget and timelines, and provide a high-quality experience for clients, partners, and other stakeholders.

Operating in Samsung’s fast-paced matrix environment, this role requires proactive stakeholder management and the ability to lead and prioritize multiple end-to-end projects simultaneously. The Event Manager combines strong project management and organizational skills with political sensitivity, excellent communication, and high operational agility.

The Event Manager will report to the Head of PR, CSR & Events.

• Multi-Project & Portfolio Management: Simultaneously plan, track, and execute multiple complex events and projects under tight deadlines while maintaining flawless execution and attention to detail.
  


• Proactive Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders, including sales teams, marketing, PR, and HQ, as well as external partners such as agencies, venues, and suppliers, to align expectations, manage dependencies, and ensure business alignment.
  


• End-to-End Planning & Execution: Plan and manage events from initial briefing through execution, budget management, and post-event evaluation.
  


• Supplier & Contract Management: Manage relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements to ensure high deliverable standards and cost efficiencies.
  


• Budget Oversight: Develop and monitor event budgets, approve expenditures within agreed authority, and ensure full financial reconciliation.
  


• Cross-Functional Communication: Drive clear communication, briefing processes, and alignment across diverse departments, ensuring clear expectation management at every stage.
  


• On-Site Operations & Risk Mitigation: Oversee on-site setup, troubleshooting, guest experience, breakdown, and contingency management while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and venue policies.
  


• Post-Event Evaluation & Reporting: Conduct post-event evaluations, capture feedback, reconcile budgets, measure performance against key results, and maintain clear documentation.

• Event & Project Management: Highly structured approach to managing complex, multi-layered events involving numerous deliverables and tight timelines.

• Agility & Resilience: Able to adapt swiftly to changing priorities, sudden plan adjustments, and high-pressure situations while keeping teams aligned and focused.
  


• Strategic & Clear Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex updates, provide decisive briefings, and manage executive expectations.
  


• Commercial Acumen & Negotiation: Skilled in budget tracking, cost optimization, and contract negotiations with suppliers while nurturing long-term relationships.
  


• Problem Solving & Decision Making: Calm, resourceful, and decisive under pressure when resolving unexpected issues during planning or live execution.
