Maximo Functional Consultant

Nextlink is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Maximo EAM Functional Consultant to support the implementation, configuration, optimization, and ongoing enhancement of IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and end-users to design and configure Maximo applications that align with organizational goals, operational requirements, and industry best practices.

This role requires expertise in asset management, maintenance operations, inventory management, procurement processes, and enterprise application implementations.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements.
  
• Understand and map business processes related to Asset Management, Work Management, Inventory, Procurement, Preventive Maintenance, and Service Management.
  
• Conduct gap analysis and recommend optimal Maximo-based solutions aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.
  

Maximo Configuration & Implementation

• Configure and support IBM Maximo EAM modules, including:
  • Asset Management
    
  • Work Management
    
  • Inventory Management
    
  • Procurement and Purchasing
    
  • Preventive Maintenance
    
  • Service Management
    
• Participate in end-to-end Maximo implementations, upgrades, and cloud migration projects.
  
• Develop and maintain configuration documentation, process flows, functional specifications, and user guides.
  

Testing & Deployment

• Support data migration activities, including data validation and reconciliation.
  
• Coordinate and execute functional testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and defect resolution.
  
• Provide go-live support and ensure successful deployment of Maximo solutions.
  

Stakeholder Engagement & Training

• Facilitate workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and solution design meetings.
  
• Conduct training sessions and knowledge-transfer activities for business users and support teams.
  
• Act as the primary functional point of contact between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  

Integration & Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate with technical consultants and architects to integrate Maximo with enterprise applications such as ERP, GIS, SCADA, and other business systems.
  
• Provide post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and functional guidance.
  
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend enhancements to maximize system effectiveness.
  
• Stay current with IBM Maximo product updates, industry trends, and asset management best practices.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Asset Management, or a related field.
  
• Minimum 4+ years of experience as an IBM Maximo Functional Consultant.
  
• Experience in at least one full-cycle IBM Maximo EAM implementation, upgrade, or migration project.
  
• Strong hands-on experience configuring Maximo EAM modules and workflows.
  
• Deep understanding of enterprise asset management and maintenance management processes.
  
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional solutions.
  
• Strong documentation skills, including business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, and training materials.
  
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
  
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities within a fast-paced environment.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• IBM Certified Deployment Professional – Maximo EAM certification.
  
• ITIL Certification.
  
• Asset Management certifications such as ISO 55000 or equivalent.
  
• Experience with Maximo Application Suite (MAS).
  
• Knowledge of integrations with ERP, GIS, SCADA, and other enterprise platforms.
  
• Exposure to Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies.
