Job Description - Microsoft Purview Support Engineer (ID: 3567)
As a Microsoft Purview Support Engineer, you will:
Support and enhance Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Information Protection (MIP/AIP), and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions to ensure organizational data security and compliance.
Manage and maintain sensitivity labels, auto -labeling policies, and DLP configurations within Microsoft Purview.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to MIP/AIP labeling, policy enforcement, and classification.
Handle DLP incident management, including investigation, tuning of policies, and coordination with security operations teams.
Manage Active Directory group assignments and collaborate with infrastructure teams for platform deployments and updates.
Develop reports and dashboards using Power BI and automate operational tasks using Power Automate.
Participate in change management processes including CRs, CAB/TAB discussions, and release coordination.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, knowledge articles, and test cases.
Collaborate with stakeholders to support data governance, regulatory compliance, and information protection initiatives.
What You Bring to the Table:
6–8 years of overall IT experience, including 3+ years in cybersecurity or information protection domains.
Hands -on experience with Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Information Protection (MIP/AIP), and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
Strong understanding of data classification, sensitivity labeling, and governance controls.
Experience supporting DLP incident handling, monitoring, and policy tuning.
Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and Power Automate for workflow atomation.
Experience working with enterprise security and compliance frameworks.
Relevant certifications such as SC -400 (Microsoft Information Protection Administrator) or SC -900 (Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals) are preferred.
You Should Possess the Ability to:
Analyze and troubleshoot information protection and data loss prevention issues effectively.
Communicate clearly with technical teams, security operations, and business stakeholders.
Manage policy implementation, fine -tuning, and monitoring for enterprise data protection solutions.
Coordinate across infrastructure, security, and compliance teams to ensure seamless deployments and operations.
Produce clear documentation and operational procedures for ongoing support activities.
Adapt to changing security requirements and regulatory compliance needs.
