Account Executive New Business

The role and the team
As an Account Executive (all genders), you’ll drive new business across the Benelux, covering the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. You’ll sell consolidation and planning, disclosure management (including ESG reporting), and banking and cash management solutions to the Office of the CFO. You’ll own your territory and quota, manage B2B SaaS deals end-to-end, and run your pipeline like your own business, from account planning to signed contract. Based in the Netherlands and working remotely, you’ll build trusted relationships with finance leaders and represent Lucanet at selected industry events. You’ll join our New Business team and work closely with Solution Engineering, Professional Services, Partner Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to move deals forward. Marketing and Business Development support you with demand generation, but you own your pipeline. You’ll learn from experienced peers, sharpen your methodology, and share what you hear in the field with the wider team. What you’ll do
Reporting into the Sales leadership team, you will:

• Own your territory, building account plans and a steady cadence to meet and exceed quota.


• Manage multi-stakeholder sales cycles end-to-end, typically 3 to 6 months, with Finance leaders and C-level decision-makers.


• Build your own pipeline through targeted prospecting, outreach, and your network.


• Engage CFOs, Heads of Finance, and Heads of Tax, linking Lucanet’s value to their business challenges.


• Structure and negotiate deals within defined commercial guardrails, with support from Sales leadership on larger opportunities.


• Apply MEDDICC with disciplined CRM hygiene and accurate forecasting.


• Represent Lucanet at industry events, partner forums, and webinars alongside Marketing and Solution Engineering.


• Share field insights with the team and help shape how we prospect and sell in the Benelux.

What you bring
You have:

• Experience running full sales cycles independently in B2B SaaS, software, or IT solution sales, from prospecting to negotiation and close, with results to show for it.


• Hands-on prospecting skills and the drive to generate a meaningful share of your own pipeline.


• Confidence engaging senior and C-level stakeholders, with strong communication and negotiation skills.


• Experience with MEDDICC or a comparable sales methodology, plus good command of CRM, sales engagement, and AI-powered sales tools.


• Fluent Dutch and English, written and spoken.

It’s a plus if you also have:

• Experience selling finance, tax, or accounting software.


• A network across SaaS, finance, or compliance in the Benelux.


• Experience in a PE-backed or high-growth SaaS environment.
