Job Description - Senior Python Backend Developer (ID: 3968)

As a Senior Python Backend Developer, you will:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python, FastAPI, and Microservices architecture.
Build, deploy, and support enterprise-grade APIs and distributed services.
Develop event-driven applications and integrations using Kafka.
Design technical solutions based on business requirements and prepare functional and technical specification documents.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
Containerize applications using Docker and deploy workloads on Kubernetes (AKS) using Helm.
Write, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases to ensure application quality.
Prepare deployment, cutover, and rollback plans while supporting post-production hyper-care activities.
Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and technical spike discussions.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing enterprise applications.
Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvements across applications and deployment processes.
Contribute to technical discussions, architectural decisions, and development best practices.

What You Bring to the Table:

10+ years of professional experience in Python application development and enterprise software engineering.
Strong hands-on expertise in Python, FastAPI, and Microservices architecture.
Solid experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
Experience implementing event-driven architectures using Kafka.
Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud services with exposure to cloud-native application development.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), and Helm.
Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments using Jira and Confluence.
Strong understanding of software design principles, coding standards, and application lifecycle management.
Experience preparing functional design documents and technical specifications.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to mentor team members and contribute to technical decision-making.

You should possess the ability to:

Design scalable, maintainable, and secure backend solutions.
Work independently while effectively collaborating within Agile teams.
Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
Build reusable APIs and microservices following industry best practices.
Implement robust CI/CD and automated deployment processes.
Manage containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), and Helm.
Drive solution design, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release activities.
Prepare deployment strategies, cut over plans, and provide hyper-care support after production releases.
Troubleshoot complex production issues under tight deadlines.
Adapt quickly to new technologies, tools, and changing business priorities.
Demonstrate strong ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.
