Job Description - Backend Developer (Java)

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Backend Engineer to design, develop, and sustain robust server-side applications. This pivotal role focuses on creating high-performance, scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and the Spring Boot framework. The ideal candidate will drive architectural decisions, ensure data integrity through advanced database interactions, and implement secure, event-driven systems. By leveraging modern cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices, this position is essential for delivering reliable, efficient, and secure software solutions that meet evolving business demands.

Responsibilities:

Architect and sustain backend services utilizing Java and Spring Boot technologies.
Engineer scalable RESTful APIs and microservice architectures to support business growth.
Manage data persistence and retrieval by leveraging Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and relational database systems.
Facilitate seamless connectivity with external third-party APIs and integrated services.
Construct event-driven processing pipelines using Apache Kafka and enhance system speed with Redis caching strategies.
Enforce rigorous security protocols through Spring Security, JWT, and OAuth2 standards.
Produce comprehensive unit and integration tests while actively engaging in peer code reviews.
Diagnose and resolve production-level incidents while optimizing application performance and scalability.
Deploy and manage containerized applications within Docker and Kubernetes environments, supported by AWS cloud services and CI/CD pipelines.
