Job Description - Belt Vulcanizer

Job Summary

Execution of all emergencies and planned belt vulcanizing activities in the plant.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Repair and replacement of damaged belt conveyors

Carrying out routine inspection of conveyors

Production of short endless belts and weigh feeders

Ensuring that worn our idlers, laggings, are identified and replaced

Ability to make cold, hot and clipped joints

Education and Work Experience

WASC/GCE/SSCE +15 years’ experience

TTII + 10 years’ experience

TT1 + 5 years’ experience

OND IN RELEVANT DISCIPLINE Skills and Competencies

Good communication skills

Good knowledge of belt vulcanizing work and principles

Excellent interpersonal skills
