Business Operations Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and process-driven Business Operations Analyst to oversee and optimize the end-to-end operational lifecycle of transactions, from deal sourcing through execution, monitoring, and recovery. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, enhance process efficiency, ensure disciplined execution, and provide performance insights that support sustainable growth and portfolio quality.

The role will work closely with the COO, Customer Service team, Business Banking Officers, Credit & Risk teams, and other Business Analysts to ensure seamless operational performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Business Operations & Process Management

• Analyze and improve business processes to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
  


• Develop, implement, and maintain operational policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  


• Monitor operational performance metrics and provide actionable insights to management.
  


• Identify operational risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  


• Support strategic initiatives and process improvement projects.
  

Deal Pipeline & Credit Process Coordination

• Oversee the quality and flow of deals entering the business pipeline.
  


• Work closely with Business Banking Officers to enforce deal qualification standards.
  


• Coordinate transactions through the credit review and approval process.
  


• Maintain deal tracking systems and ensure effective communication across stakeholders.
  


• Escalate issues requiring intervention to the Credit & Risk team.
  

Deal Processing, Monitoring & Recovery

• Coordinate onboarding, documentation, and disbursement activities.
  


• Ensure all conditions precedent are satisfied prior to disbursement.
  


• Verify approvals and transaction documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  


• Monitor utilization of funds, repayment schedules, and portfolio performance.
  


• Support recovery processes and proactive portfolio risk management activities.
  

Reporting & Performance Management

• Prepare operational, management, and performance reports.
  


• Track pipeline performance, conversion rates, and operational KPIs.
  


• Provide data-driven insights to support business decision-making.
  


• Support workflow digitization and process automation initiatives.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  


• Minimum of 4 years' experience in Operations, Banking, Lending, Financial Services, Fintech, Business Process Management, or a related field.
  


• Prior experience within a lending institution, financial services organization, or fintech environment is highly preferred.
  


• Strong understanding of operational workflows, transaction processing, and process improvement methodologies.
  


• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  


• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organizational abilities.
  


• MBA or relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.

They should possess strong analytical capabilities, a passion for process improvement, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams to drive operational excellence.
