DevOps Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent hands -on experience).

• Proven experience (3–5+ years) as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or similar role.

• Advanced proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with experience in provisioning, scaling, and optimizing resources.

• Strong expertise in containerization and orchestration, including Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Kustomize.

• Hands -on experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, CircleCI, or ArgoCD.

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.

• Deep understanding of monitoring and logging systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog, Splunk, or New Relic).

• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or Go.

• Solid background in Linux system administration, networking (DNS, VPCs, VPNs, firewalls), and load balancing.

• Experience managing databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis) in cloud environments.

• Strong understanding of security best practices, including IAM, secrets management, encryption, and compliance frameworks.

• Proven ability to design and implement backup, disaster recovery, and failover strategies.

• Excellent problem -solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems in production environments.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills to work effectively across cross -functional teams.

Preferred Certifications:

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)

• Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert

• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate

• Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer

• Experience with Advanced Tooling:

• Service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)

• GitOps practices with ArgoCD or Flux

• Chaos engineering tools (Gremlin, Litmus) for reliability testing

• Advanced observability solutions (OpenTelemetry, Jaeger)
