Job Description - Equipment Manager




Job Summary



Manages construction equipment availability, maintenance, and operational efficiency to support project delivery.







Key Responsibilities



• Manage fleet utilization and equipment scheduling. 



• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance. 



• Monitor fuel consumption and equipment performance. 



• Maintain equipment service records. 



• Oversee operators and mechanics. 



• Ensure equipment safety compliance.


Requirements



Requirements






  • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 

  • A minimum of 3-5 years fleet management experience in construction industry. 

  • Preventative Maintenance; must establish a rigorous maintenance schedule for heavy machinery (Pavers, Graders, Rollers, Excavators).

  • Fuel/Spare Parts Management; implementing strict tracking to eliminate fuel theft and ensure genuine parts are used.

  • Diagnostic Skill; ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and mechanical issues to minimize equipment downtime.
