An established engineering and power solutions company is seeking a hands-on and experienced Finance Manager to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.

The Finance Manager will oversee the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. The role requires a hands-on professional capable of managing a small accounts team, ensuring accuracy of financial records, and supporting management with timely financial insights.. The ideal candidate must be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a small accounts team while driving structure, accountability, and financial discipline within the organization.

    

    

     

    

    

     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    

    
• Prepare and manage financial reports, reconciliations, bookkeeping, and accounting records

    

    
• Supervise accounts operations and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions

    

    
• Monitor cash flow, vendor payments, collections, and working capital management

    

    
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory filings, and financial policies

    

    
• Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes for efficiency and accountability

    

    
• Support budgeting, financial planning, and performance tracking against budgets

    

    
• Lead and guide the accounts team while providing financial insights and recommendations to management

    

    

     

    

Requirements

    

     

    

    
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field  

    

    
- 5–7 years relevant experience (preferably in structured SMEs or engineering/trading companies)

    

    
- Professional qualification (ICAN/ACCA) is preferred or in progress  

    

    
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, or ERP systems)  

    

    
- Solid understanding of Nigerian tax and regulatory environment  

    

    
- Strong leadership and team management skills 

    

    

     
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
