Job Summary

The Flight Ticketing and Reservation Officer plays a pivotal role in facilitating seamless travel experiences by managing the full spectrum of airline booking operations. This position focuses on the precise issuance and modification of tickets, handling complex cancellations and refunds, and serving as a primary source of accurate travel intelligence for clients. The officer ensures strict adherence to airline policies and fare structures while collaborating effectively with airline partners, travel agencies, and internal departments to fulfill diverse client travel requirements with efficiency and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

Guide clients through the process of securing reservations for both domestic and international flights.
Execute the booking, issuance, reissuance, and cancellation of airline tickets utilizing Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and proprietary airline platforms.
Deliver precise details regarding flight timetables, pricing, routing options, baggage allowances, and necessary travel documentation such as visas.
Manage ticket modifications, refund requests, exchanges, and credit applications in strict accordance with carrier regulations.
Validate passenger information and travel documentation to guarantee the integrity of all bookings.
Track real-time flight status updates and proactively inform clients of any schedule alterations, delays, or itinerary changes.
Construct comprehensive travel itineraries and secure final confirmations with customers.
Address and resolve client inquiries, grievances, and booking discrepancies with speed and a professional demeanor.
Uphold meticulous records of reservations and client data within the booking management system.
Liaise with airlines and travel suppliers to identify and secure optimal travel solutions.
Adhere to all organizational policies, airline mandates, and industry best practices.
Handle financial transactions, generate receipts, and reconcile sales figures as necessary.
Achieve established benchmarks for service quality and booking processing speed.
Provide tailored travel solutions for both corporate and leisure clientele.
Remain current on airline promotions, fare conditions, travel alerts, and market trends to offer expert guidance.
Partner with the Digital Marketing Team to design and launch travel offers and promotional initiatives.
