through its commercial, engineering, project, logistics, and support functions.

Role
Overview

The General Manager – Nigeria will be
responsible for the overall leadership, growth, and operational performance of
Synkron International's portfolio in Nigeria. The role will provide end-to-end
oversight of the market, combining business development, client relationship
management, project and service delivery, engineering coordination, logistics,
Training Center support, financial stewardship, and country administration.

The role will drive growth across Synkron's
industrial engineering, automation, technical services, spare parts, and
training portfolio while ensuring projects and client commitments are
successfully delivered. As the senior in-country representative, the General
Manager will also ensure that the Nigerian operation remains commercially
sustainable, operationally efficient, and compliant with applicable business
licences, permits, and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Country Leadership &
Strategy:
Provide overall leadership and direction for Synkron's business
operations in Nigeria. Translate Group and regional strategy into country
priorities, commercial objectives, and operational plans while monitoring
business performance, market opportunities, risks, and operational challenges.

2. Sales, Business Development
& Portfolio Growth:
Lead business development and
revenue growth across Synkron's portfolio in Nigeria, including automation
solutions, engineering projects, equipment, technical services, maintenance,
spare parts, and technical training. Develop new clients and sectors, grow
existing accounts, maintain a healthy sales pipeline, and oversee opportunities
through to conversion and handover.

3. Client & Key Account
Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic and key
clients. Understand client operations, technical requirements, challenges, and
future investment plans while ensuring timely follow-up, effective resolution
of client concerns, client retention, repeat business, and increased share of
wallet.

4. Project, Service &
Engineering Coordination:
Provide overall in-country
oversight of projects and technical services. Coordinate with Project Managers,
engineers, and technical teams to ensure appropriate resources, project
milestones, site requirements, installations, commissioning, handovers, service
responses, and technical support are effectively managed.

5. Logistics, Equipment &
Spare Parts Management:
Oversee the coordination of
equipment, spare parts, tools, and project materials required for Nigerian
operations. Work with Procurement, Logistics, Finance, suppliers, and OEM
partners to ensure timely procurement, shipment, customs clearance, delivery,
storage, and accountability of equipment and materials.

6. Training Center & Technical
Capability Development:
Support the growth and visibility
of the Synkron Training Center in Nigeria. Identify technical capability gaps
among local engineers and client teams, coordinate relevant training and
certification programs, promote training opportunities, and support corporate
and institutional partnerships.

7. Commercial & Financial
Management:
Take accountability for approved revenue, margin, and commercial
objectives. Support country budgeting and forecasting, monitor sales pipeline
and project values, manage commercial risks, monitor margins and operating
expenditure, support invoicing and collections, and identify opportunities to
improve profitability and recurring income.

8. Country Operations, Compliance
& Team Leadership:
Provide day-to-day leadership and
coordination of Synkron employees and resources operating within Nigeria.
Establish clear priorities and performance expectations, support recruitment
and employee development, coordinate administrative requirements, oversee
licences and permits, maintain compliance requirements, and ensure Synkron
policies and governance standards are observed.



Requirements

Education Requirements

·         Bachelor's
degree in Engineering, Business Management, Operations Management, or a related
discipline.

·         An
Engineering qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation,
Industrial, or a related field is strongly preferred.

·         MBA,
Engineering Management, or Project Management qualification is an added
advantage.

·         Relevant
project management or OEM certifications are advantageous
.

Experience

·         Minimum
8–10 years' progressive experience within industrial engineering, automation,
technical services, industrial equipment, manufacturing solutions, or a related
B2B technical environment.

·         At
least 3–5 years' experience in a management or business leadership role.

·         Demonstrated
experience in technical sales, business development, and key account
management.

·         Experience
overseeing engineering projects, field service, or technical operations.

·         Experience
coordinating engineering or multidisciplinary technical teams.

·         Commercial
experience covering budgets, revenue, margins, forecasting, and collections.

·         Experience
with industrial equipment, spare parts, logistics, and after-sales services is
strongly preferred.

·         Experience
working with OEM or technology partners is advantageous.

·         Strong
knowledge of the Nigerian industrial and business environment is strongly
preferred.

·         Experience
managing or developing a country, territory, or significant business portfolio
is a distinct advantage
.
