The ICT and Inventory Management Officer serves as a vital link between technical operations and asset stewardship within the organization. This position is designed for a professional with 0–2 years of experience who will harmonize foundational IT support duties with comprehensive inventory control protocols. By ensuring the reliability of technology infrastructure and the accuracy of stock records, the incumbent plays a crucial role in maintaining operational efficiency, safeguarding organizational assets, and supporting the broader workforce with timely technical assistance.
Responsibilities
Deliver immediate technical assistance to staff regarding computers, printers, network connectivity, and peripheral devices.
Execute the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of hardware, software, and associated equipment.
Diagnose and resolve initial-level issues related to systems, networks, and user accessibility.
Manage and update digital asset registers to ensure precise tracking of all organizational equipment.
Facilitate data backup procedures, apply system updates, and enforce fundamental cybersecurity standards.
Continuously monitor system performance and promptly escalate any identified faults to relevant stakeholders.
Maintain up-to-date records for all inventory categories, including raw materials, consumables, finished products, and office supplies.
Document and track all stock movements, including receipts, disbursements, transfers, and inventory adjustments.
Perform regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies to ensure data integrity.
Compile and distribute detailed inventory reports while maintaining rigorous documentation standards.
Track stock levels proactively and alert management regarding low inventory or the need for replenishment.
Organize storage areas with proper labeling and systematic arrangement to optimize space and accessibility.
Assist in deploying inventory management software and digital record-keeping platforms.
Provide support during procurement processes and participate in inventory-related audit activities.
Generate periodic reports on ICT performance and inventory status for management review.
Adhere strictly to organizational policies governing ICT asset usage and inventory controls.
Undertake additional tasks as assigned by leadership to support departmental goals.
