The I.C.T. Officer will provide basic technical support and assist with the day-to-day management and maintenance of the organization’s information and communication technology systems. The role is suitable for an entry-level professional with 0–2 years of experience who is eager to develop practical ICT skills, support staff, maintain computer systems, and help ensure smooth and reliable use of technology across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Provide basic technical support to staff for computers, printers, internet connectivity, software, and other ICT equipment.
Install, configure, update, and maintain computer hardware and software.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving basic hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Monitor and maintain the organization’s ICT equipment and systems to ensure proper functionality.
Assist with setting up computers, user accounts, email accounts, and other ICT services for new staff.
Support staff in the use of Microsoft Office applications, email, online platforms, and other workplace software.
Perform routine backups and assist in maintaining the security and integrity of organizational data.
Help monitor network connectivity and report technical problems to the appropriate personnel or service provider.
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of computers, accessories, software, and other ICT equipment.
Assist with the installation and maintenance of printers, scanners, projectors, and other office technology.
Keep records of ICT-related issues, repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment usage.
Assist in implementing basic ICT security measures, including password protection, software updates, antivirus protection, and safe internet practices.
Support virtual meetings, presentations, video conferencing, and other technology-related activities.
Assist in training staff on basic ICT tools and best practices where required.
Escalate complex technical issues to senior ICT personnel or external service providers when necessary.
Ensure ICT equipment is handled properly and report damaged or faulty equipment promptly.
Stay updated on basic ICT tools, technologies, and workplace practices relevant to the organization.
Perform other ICT-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
