Strong grasp of fundamental IT concepts across multiple domains:
Proficiency with Windows, Linux/UNIX, and potentially macOS.
Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN concepts, and basic network troubleshooting.
Knowledge of SQL and fundamental database management concepts (like managing backups, security, and basic queries).
Completion of at least one relevant internship or demonstrable personal/academic projects that showcase practical application of technical skills
Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware (desktops, laptops, peripherals) and software applications (e.g., MS Office suite).
The ability to approach a technical issue logically, analyse the root cause, and implement a sustainable solution.
Capacity to prioritise tasks effectively, manage a queue of support tickets, and meet deadlines under pressure.
IT changes rapidly. A successful fresher must demonstrate a strong growth mindset and a willingness to learn new software quickly, tools, and emerging technologies (like Cloud or AI basics).
Since much of the role involves user support, having a friendly, helpful, and professional demeanour is crucial.
Familiarity with setting up and maintaining common IT equipment like printers, scanners, and projectors.
