Summary

The Logistics Officer plays a vital role in overseeing the end-to-end management of goods and services, from initial planning and procurement to final storage and distribution. This position ensures that all operational activities are supported by timely, budget-conscious, and regulation-compliant logistics solutions, directly contributing to the success of organizational programs and daily functions.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategies for acquiring necessary goods, equipment, and services while coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
Cultivate strong relationships with vendors, manage competitive bidding processes, and oversee all contract documentation.
Coordinate the movement of vehicles and the delivery of supplies to various project locations to ensure operational continuity.
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and asset registers to guarantee resource accountability.
Uphold all procurement policies and adhere to specific regulatory requirements set by donors and the organization.
Generate comprehensive logistics reports and provide logistical support for event planning and field operations.

Requirements

Proven experience in logistics planning, procurement, and supply chain management.
Strong ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts effectively.
Proficiency in organizing transportation logistics and maintaining detailed inventory records.
Thorough understanding of procurement regulations and compliance standards.
Excellent reporting skills with the ability to support strategic planning initiatives.
