Job Purpose


The Logistics Officer – Corporate Sale is responsible for monitoring, tracking and reporting bulk cement dispatch assets both at customers’ sites and during transit. The role will support in ensuring timely product delivery, avoid cement stockout at customers’ site and optimal bulk asset utilisation. ensuring timely product delivery, optimal inventory management at customers’ site and seamless collaboration between sales, plant operations, and customers. The role is critical to customer satisfaction, supply reliability, and operational efficiency in bulk and project-based sales.



Key Responsibilities



2. Logistics Planning & Execution



  1. Validate the daily dispatch Plan   for the delivery of cement to customers and project sites, based on data generated from within customer’s geofence and GIT

  2. Support the optimization of truck allocation, routing, and delivery timelines to reduce delays and cost.

  3. Monitor shipment progress and ensure adherence to delivery schedules.



3.  Stakeholder Management Support



  1. Provide data required to drive liaison between corporate clients sales team, and l transport units.

  2. Provide timely updates on order dispatch status and delivery schedules.

  3. Resolve delivery issues, complaints, or service disruptions efficiently.

  4. Manage EPOD process and ensure correct reporting for accurate invoicing

  5. Maintain accurate logistics records for audit and compliance purposes.



4. Inventory & Supply Management



  1. Monitor stock levels at customers’ sites where the VMI system has been deployed.

  2.  

  3. Flag potential stock shortages or overstock situations for proactive action.




6. Data Management & Reporting



  1. Track logistics performance KPIs such as delivery turnaround time, order fulfillment rate, and transport utilization.

  2. Prepare daily/weekly/monthly logistics and delivery reports

  3. Analyze logistics data to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.



7. Cost & Efficiency Optimization



  1. Monitor logistics costs (fuel, haulage, demurrage) and support cost-reduction initiatives.

  2. Minimize delivery delays, truck idle time, and inefficiencies in dispatch operations.

  3. Improve coordination processes to enhance turnaround time and service quality.



Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)



  • Order fulfillment rate (%)

  • On-time delivery performance

  • Average delivery turnaround time

  • Logistics cost per ton

  • Customer satisfaction levels

  • Truck utilization and downtime

  • Number of delivery issues/complaints resolved



Qualifications & Experience



  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field

  • Minimum of 3–6 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, or sales operations, preferably in cement or building materials

  • Experience handling bulk deliveries, project logistics, or industrial distribution is a strong advantage
