We’re now looking for a Millwright within our Harrismith factory who will be responsible for installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment across industrial utility systems including boilers, compressors, refrigeration plants, water treatment systems, generators, and related infrastructure.

A day in the life of a Millwright:

• Carry out the planned maintenance required on Plant.


• Proactively seek ways to continuously improve equipment performance.


• Install, service, repair and maintain existing and new equipment (boilers, compressors, ammonia refrigeration, RO plants, generators, chlorination, wastewater, water systems, UPS etc.)


• Faultfinding and setting controllers, pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters and valves.


• Equipment inspections and reporting.


• Maintain maintenance records


• Participate in risk assessments and report hazards and incidents.


• Assist in installation and commissioning and participate in shutdowns


• Support continuous improvement


• Assist in training apprentices

What will make you successful

• Minimum N3 Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a Millwright Trade.


• A minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in Utilities maintenance. Experience with boilers, compressors, ammonia refrigeration, RO plants, generators, chlorination, wastewater, water systems, UPS.


• Ability to work independently and under pressure.


• Mechanical systems expertise
