Network & Security Engineer

As a Network & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of the organization’s network, security, voice, and server infrastructure.

The role requires a hands-on professional capable of designing, deploying, and troubleshooting across multiple technology domains while ensuring the availability, security, and optimal performance of critical business systems.

You will also manage and optimize both on-premises and cloud-based network environments, develop and enforce network security protocols, and proactively identify and resolve network-related issues to ensure business continuity and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively scope technical solutions to address customer requirements, assess both expressed and unexpressed needs, and recommend solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the organization.
  


• Oversee and execute planned enterprise network and security infrastructure maintenance activities while minimizing service disruption.
  


• Provide technical leadership for operational and project-based initiatives, including the design and implementation of new network and security technologies with minimal downtime and seamless user experience.
  


• Conduct in-depth analysis of service performance and respond promptly to escalated service delivery issues.
  


• Design end-to-end solutions and develop implementation and support models for specialized network and security platforms.
  


• Configure, install, support, and troubleshoot enterprise network and security infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and related systems.
  


• Collaborate effectively with internal IS teams and external outsourcing partners to ensure optimal delivery and management of technology solutions.
  


• Review service reports to ensure successful delivery of all services and proactively address performance issues using metrics-driven improvements.
  


• Assist in the development and continuous improvement of network and security operations processes, procedures, and documentation.
  


• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery within customer environments.
  


• Design system configurations, oversee deployments, define and enforce industry standards, and ensure proper establishment of customer network environments.
  


• Analyze existing enterprise network and security infrastructure and recommend solutions for optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
  


• Develop architecture plans for enterprise network and security solutions and deployments.
  


• Deploy enterprise network security solutions, including multi-vendor firewalls, Network Access Control (NAC), and endpoint security systems.
  


• Support and maintain enterprise network and security infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, NAC, and endpoint protection solutions.
  


• Provide L2/L3 escalation support for critical incidents and ensure timely resolution.
  


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of customer network and security infrastructure, including design changes, configurations, and inventory updates.
  


• Collaborate with Sales and Presales teams to support technical engagements and deliver Proof of Value (PoV) sessions for prospective and existing customers.
  

Certifications

• CCNP certification (mandatory).
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
  




• A Master’s degree from a recognized university will be an added advantage.
  




• Membership of relevant professional management associations will be an added advantage.
  




• Minimum of 4 years’ work experience in ICT, Telecommunications, or a related industry.
  




• CCNP certification is mandatory.
  




• Additional certifications such as NSE, HPE Aruba Networking, MCSA/MCSE, or Azure Administrator will be an added advantage.
