This position is dedicated to advancing nutrition initiatives by facilitating essential screening, therapeutic treatment, and community engagement efforts designed to combat malnutrition in children and their caregivers. The role functions as a vital support to nutrition officers, managing critical tasks such as data gathering, supply chain monitoring, and mobilizing community participation to ensure effective program delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate nutrition screening protocols, specifically conducting Mid-Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC) assessments and identifying cases of acute malnutrition.
Aid in the logistics of distributing and monitoring therapeutic and supplementary feeding commodities.
Provide assistance during counseling sessions focused on Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) best practices for caregivers.
Ensure the accuracy of patient records regarding admissions, discharges, and defaulters at all nutrition service sites.
Engage in community outreach and awareness campaigns to promote healthy nutrition habits.
Contribute to the entry and reporting of program indicators related to nutrition outcomes.
Collaborate with community volunteers and health workers to coordinate follow-up actions for patient referrals.
