Operations Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily factory production and logistics operations to ensure efficient workflow, productivity, and compliance with organizational and client standards. The position manages factory operatives, including loaders and pallet handlers, by supervising activities, scheduling work, monitoring attendance, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations and operational procedures. The role also involves continuous recruitment, training, and performance management of operatives, maintaining accurate operational records, preparing production reports, resolving workplace issues, and implementing cost -effective manpower and resource management strategies. Additionally, the role ensures strict compliance with safety policies, proper use of PPE, and effective stakeholder and conflict management to support smooth and uninterrupted operations.
Ensure smooth and efficient production and logistics operations by organizing workflow and monitoring operational performance.
Plan work schedules, assignments, and task sequences to meet production targets and client expectations.
Conduct continuous recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and training of factory operatives.
Set performance standards and productivity targets for operatives and monitor compliance.
Maintain accurate operational records, including attendance, timekeeping, production output, and expenses.
Prepare and submit daily and periodic production and operational reports to management.
Enforce company and client rules, policies, and operational procedures.
Manage workforce activities effectively to ensure alignment with client requirements and operational goals.
Resolve operational issues, workforce concerns, and conflicts promptly and professionally.
Implement cost -control measures through effective manpower utilization, PPE management, and proper handling of products and machinery.
Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies, including mandatory use of PPE at all times.
Maintain confidentiality and security of operational and staff information.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to ensure operational efficiency and service delivery excellence
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or HND in Business Administration, Industrial Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in factory operations, production supervision, logistics, or workforce management.
Experience supervising factory operatives or production staff is required.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Good knowledge of production processes, logistics coordination, and workflow planning.
Ability to manage schedules, manpower allocation, and operational reporting.
Strong problem -solving and conflict -resolution abilities.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, and reporting tools).
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of workplace safety standards and PPE compliance requirements.
Ability to work shifts and manage fast -paced operational environments.
