Quality Assurance Engineer
Responsible for ensuring that the user experience across our applications aligns with product design and business intent. You will analyze software systems to verify that solutions developed meet defined requirements, specifications, and quality standards.
You will play a key role in identifying risks, preventing defects, and improving overall product quality throughout the software development lifecycle. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be actively involved in API, mobile, and web testing—both manual and automated—working closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to drive continuous improvement and successful product delivery.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases to ensure high product quality
Continuously test applications to identify defects early and minimise production issues
Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to investigate, prioritise, and resolve defects
Accurately track and report progress, defects, and test coverage using Jira, ensuring visibility across the team
Develop and maintain automation scripts for API, mobile and web applications
Maintain and enhance the existing mobile automation framework (Java, Appium, Playwright)
Contribute to technical discussions, product decisions, and overall engineering strategy
Provide constructive input and challenge decisions where necessary to improve outcomes and drive quality
Identify and recommend improvements to performance, usability, and overall user experience
Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and frameworks to enhance efficiency and coverage
Desired Skills & Experience:
Understand Android operating systems (how to enable wifi, provision phone, etc)
Have experience with NATIVE mobile apps (either you have created a native app on your own or you have used native apps extensively).
Know how to break the software
Know how to write bug reports and review documentation
Know how to run manual and automated tests in different environments
Know how to perform multiple types of testing (stress, performance, functional, scalability)
Design tests to mitigate risk
Present findings to software development and business user teams
Have the ability to work on multiple projects at one time
Communicate findings verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical colleagues
Organizational skills with the capability of working toward tight deadlines while under pressure and not losing attention to details
