Job Description: Sales & Marketing Manager (Food-Tech)

Location: Surulere, Lagos (Hybrid)

Reporting To: Founder

Remuneration: ₦600,000 Monthly Net + Official Car + HMO + Pension

Role Overview

We are a fast-growing food delivery technology platform scaling our footprint across Lagos. We are seeking a high-energy, strategically-minded Sales & Marketing Manager to drive our commercial growth, brand penetration, and vendor acquisition strategies.

In this role, you will be the commercial engine of the business. You will lead a sizeable team to onboard top-tier restaurants and FMCG/HORECA brands, manage customer service operations, and execute marketing strategies that drive user demand and order volumes.

Key Responsibilities



  • Growth & Market Penetration: Design and implement aggressive business development, sales, and marketing strategies to expand our market share and boost platform revenue.


  • Vendor Acquisition: Actively scan the market, pitch to, and close commercial agreements with major restaurants, FMCG brands, and HORECA partners that customers love.


  • Team Leadership: Direct, coordinate, and manage daily operations across the sales, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure efficiency and target delivery.


  • Strategic & Financial Planning: Develop business plans, manage the sales budget, allocate resources effectively, and optimize the sales funnel for maximum profitability.


  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong rapport and maintain effective communication with internal teams, restaurant partners, and top-level management/the Founder.


  • Performance Monitoring: Establish clear KPIs, monitor sales performance, and implement continuous improvements to hit organizational growth targets.







Requirements




  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a reputable institution. An MBA or M.Sc. is an added advantage. Relevant professional certifications are a plus.


  • Experience: 5+ years of total relevant experience in Sales/Business Development, with at least 3+ years in a management position.



    • Prior experience within the FMCG, Food Industry, or E-commerce/Logistics sectors is highly preferred.



  • Domain Knowledge: Good understanding of the food industry, last-mile logistics/distribution, and modern customer service operations.


  • Commercial Acumen: Proven track record of closing commercial B2B contracts, managing budgets, and executing data-driven sales strategies.


  • Leadership & Influence: Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills with a proven ability to manage a sizable team.


  • Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and problem-solving skills. A resilient, focused go-getter who acts with integrity and professionalism.
