A hands-on floor leader who holds the atelier to clinical, hygiene, and service standards every trading hour. Spending most of the day on the floor with no supervisory layer beneath them, this role directly owns team productivity, conduct, stock discipline, equipment uptime, and shift coverage.
Floor Standards & Quality: Execute daily opening/closing checklist audits. Observe at least two client services daily to deliver immediate technical feedback. Reallocate staff at midday to manage capacity.
People & Discipline: Conduct monthly 1-on-1s. Enforce the conduct framework consistently, logging all breaches within 48 hours, conducting disciplinaries to written outcomes, and immediately sending home unfit staff.
Rota & Attendance: Own the technical team rota, shift swaps, and cover across all 7 trading days. Minimize lost capacity from lateness and absence.
Productivity & Equipment: Drive chair and technician utilization daily. Partner with the Client Service Lead on morning calendars and ensure zero service overruns. Reconcile stock counts weekly and keep all equipment operational.
Reporting & Escalations: Submit weekly structured reports to the MD. Escalate urgent issues using a 4-point framework (What happened, Impact, Action taken, Recommended decision).
Experience: 3+ years supervising a hands-on service floor (salon, spa, clinic, hospitality, or retail) managing 10+ direct reports. Degree not required.
Management Track Record: Direct experience leading 1-on-1s, managing poor performance, and issuing formal written disciplinaries.
Systems & Data: Tech-savvy; quick to use Timely, NotchHR, and Excel/Sheets to track utilization and stock variances.
Disposition: Uncompromising on standards, fair and consistent to all staff, routine-driven, and brings recommendations over questions.
