Job Description 

At Prophius, our QA Engineers are responsible for ensuring our services are thoroughly tested and ready to serve customers. We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our products built using modern technologies such as Postman, Selenium, Appium, Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, and SQL. This role involves end-to-end testing, automation, and collaboration to uphold our high standards for customer experience.

Prophius’ Quality Assurance Engineers are embedded in the technical and functional design efforts to improve agility and testing accuracy, provide feedback to stakeholders, and provide technical support to end-users, ensuring their smooth experience while using the platform. Responsibilities

• Test mobile apps (iOS/Android), web applications, and admin platforms for functionality, usability, performance, and security.


• Develop and execute test cases, scenarios, and automation scripts tailored to product requirements.


• Perform functional, regression, integration, compatibility, UAT, exploratory and performance testing.


• Conduct security testing to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with fintech industry standards.


• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and designers to validate implementations.


• Identify, document, and prioritize bugs and defects in Jira with actionable feedback.


• Create and improve QA documentation, including test plans, scripts, and reports.

Web and API Testing:

• Conduct functional, regression, UAT, and performance testing.


• Develop automated tests using Selenium with Python and frameworks like cucumber and pytest.


• Implement automation frameworks strictly based on the Page Object Model (POM).


• Automate API tests using NewMan, Postman collections or pytest.

Mobile Testing (Android):

• Perform emulator and real device testing using Android Debug Bridge (ADB).


• Automate tests using Appium or UIAutomator.


• Use Android Studio for testing, including emulator setup and ADB commands.


• Write test scripts with pytest.

Mobile Testing (iOS):

• Conduct performance testing on memory usage, battery consumption, and crash reporting


• Automate tests using XCUITest and Appium.


• Leverage XCTest and other iOS-specific tools.

Automation and CICD Integration:

• Develop and integrate automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

Database Testing:

• Validate backend data using MongoDB Compass or shell.


• Execute SQL queries to ensure data integrity.

Performance Testing:

• Conduct scalability tests to ensure reliability under varying loads using JMeter/Blazemeter.
  

An Ideal Candidate Should Have: 

• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.


• Hands-on experience with Agile project management tools, especially Jira.


• Very strong experience testing mobile apps, web applications, and APIs.


• Proficiency with test management tools like Jira or Zephyr and automation tools such as Selenium and Appium.


• Hands-on experience with API testing tools e.g (Postman, RestAssured etc.) and performance tools (e.g., JMeter)


• Knowledge of fintech compliance standards (KYC, AML, PCI DSS)


• Experience with Git and GitHub repository.


• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of hands-on test automation experience.


• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail.


• Fintech experience.
