Job Description
A Technical Assistant provides administrative, operational, and technical support to ensure the smooth execution of organizational projects, systems, and day-to-day activities.
Roles of a Technical Assistant
- Technical Support: Provide first-level technical assistance and resolve basic hardware, software, and system related issues.
- Project Coordination: Assist in planning, coordinating, and tracking technical projects to ensure timely completion.
- Documentation: Prepare, organize, and maintain technical documents, reports, manuals, and standard operating procedures.
- System Administration: Support the setup, maintenance, and monitoring of organizational systems, software, and digital platforms.
- Data Management: Collect, organize, update, and maintain accurate technical records, databases, and project documentation.
- Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and escalate technical issues where necessary while ensuring timely resolution.
- User Support & Training: Assist staff with system usage and provide basic training on software, tools, and digital platforms.
- Equipment Management: Monitor, maintain, and coordinate the servicing of IT equipment and other technical resources.
- Quality Assurance: Support system testing, quality checks, and implementation of improvements before deployment.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with technical, operations, product, and administrative teams to support organizational objectives.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure adherence to organizational IT policies, data security standards, and operational procedures.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed on new technologies and recommend process improvements that enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
