Job Title:  Senior Engineer – TFP Project


Department:  Projects and Engineering.


Location: Warri



JOB SUMMARY:


This role leads the planning and execution of complex pipeline construction, modification, and emergency asset integrity projects, ensuring timely delivery through effective engineering oversight, risk management, quality assurance, and safety compliance. It also manages stakeholder engagement, procurement and contractor coordination, regulatory and community interfaces, and Joint Venture governance to secure approvals, optimize costs, and maintain project readiness.



KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:




  1. Project Execution & Engineering Delivery

    • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of TFP construction and modification projects, including multi-kilometre linear construction, hot tapping, and stopple tie-in campaigns.

    • Direct fast-tracked emergency asset integrity interventions, specifically underwater/swamp leak stabilization, structural cofferdam deployments, and specialized mechanical solutions.

    • Develop/review engineering look-ahead schedules, milestones, and critical-path recovery plans (clawback initiatives) to mitigate project delays.




  2. JV Stakeholder Management & Governance

    • Prepare, present, and defend technical and financial justification packages before Joint Venture Project Management Teams (JV PMT) and senior leadership decision boards.

    • Draft formal transmittals and secure partner concurrence for high-value execution strategies, technical deviations, and budget.




  3. Risk Mitigation & Technical Assurance

    • Implement rigorous quality control and technical assurance frameworks

    • Champion operational safety by integrating field-specific lessons learned

    • Commercial & Interface Management

      • Oversee end-to-end materials procurement tracking, managing long-lead items through complex regulatory/customs frameworks to ensure project staging readiness.

      • Collaborate with Contracting & Procurement (C&P) teams to commercially evaluate and negotiate contractor bids and estimates to drive capital efficiency.

      • QUALIFICATION








Key qualifications for this role are:


Minimum of University Engineering Degree (Process) – 2nd Class Honours or better


Membership of a relevant Professional Institution preferred
