Job Summary:
The Ticketer is responsible for issuing transport tickets to passengers, handling customer inquiries, ensuring accurate cash transactions, and maintaining smooth boarding processes at the terminal. The ideal candidate must be customer -friendly, detail -oriented, and trustworthy with cash handling.
Key Responsibilities:
· Sell and issue tickets to passengers accurately and promptly.
· Provide route, schedule, and fare information to passengers.
· Maintain updated records of tickets sold and fares collected.
· Operate ticketing software and manual systems efficiently.
· Collect payment and issue receipts (cash, POS, or mobile payments).
· Reconcile daily sales and prepare financial reports for the accounting team.
· Assist passengers with seat allocations and boarding instructions.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization at the ticketing booth.
· Report any system malfunctions or passenger complaints to the supervisor.
· Adhere to company policies on safety, cash handling, and customer service.
· Minimum of SSCE / OND in any field.
· Prior experience in a ticketing, sales, or customer service role (transportation industry preferred).
· Basic math and cash -handling skills.
· Good communication skills.
· Proficient with POS systems and mobile payment platforms.
· High integrity, reliability, and ability to work under pressure.
· Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
