Job Summary
The Environment, social & governance (ESG) Intern will support Traxport Rail Services in implementing and monitoring environmental, social, and governance initiatives that promote responsible and sustainable business practices. The intern will assist with research, data collection, reporting, compliance monitoring, and stakeholder engagement while contributing to initiatives that improve the company’s environmental and social impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the collection, analysis, and reporting of ESG-related data and performance indicators.
* Conduct research on environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and governance practices.
* Assist in monitoring compliance with relevant environmental, health, safety, and ESG requirements.
* Support the development of ESG reports, presentations, policies, and other documentation.
* Track and document environmental and social initiatives across the organization.
* Assist with identifying environmental risks and opportunities for improving operational sustainability.
* Support initiatives related to waste management, resource efficiency, emissions reduction, and environmental conservation.
* Assist with community engagement and social impact initiatives.
* Support stakeholder engagement and maintain relevant ESG records and databases.
* Monitor ESG trends, regulations, and industry best practices and share relevant insights with the team.
* Assist in preparing periodic ESG performance reports and recommendations for improvement.
* Collaborate with relevant teams to integrate ESG considerations into business and operational activities.
* Perform other ESG-related duties and projects assigned by the supervisor.
