Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Programmes and Partnerships Intern. This pivotal role is designed to assist in the end-to-end management of our strategic initiatives and collaborative alliances. Working directly alongside the Programme Manager, the intern will play a key part in executing programs, cultivating vital stakeholder connections, and securing sponsorship opportunities. The position focuses on driving impact across diverse sectors, including secondary and tertiary education, women's entrepreneurship, youth development, and digital learning ecosystems. The successful candidate will be a proactive professional with a strong passion for financial literacy and economic empowerment, capable of managing complex logistics while maintaining a detail-oriented approach to project delivery.
Responsibilities
Assist in the strategic planning, design, and rollout of program activities across all operational workstreams.
Facilitate the launch and management of financial literacy clubs within secondary schools and universities.
Oversee the implementation of learning circles for financial education at the tertiary level.
Coordinate specialized training sessions tailored for women-led ventures and early-stage startups.
Execute hybrid and digital learning initiatives to broaden program reach.
Develop comprehensive work plans, implementation timelines, and activity schedules.
Manage logistical arrangements, including facilitator coordination, venue booking, and participant management.
Identify and engage with prospective partners such as educational institutions, corporate entities, donors, and business networks.
Nurture existing relationships with sponsors and development partners to ensure long-term collaboration.
Draft compelling outreach materials, including partnership proposals, concept notes, and presentation decks.
Organize stakeholder meetings and maintain rigorous follow-up protocols.
Monitor the partnership pipeline and provide regular progress reports to leadership.
Conduct prospecting activities to secure new sponsorship opportunities and assist in creating sponsorship packages.
Research potential grants and support the application process for funding.
Maintain an up-to-date database of current and prospective sponsors.
Generate weekly activity reports and ensure accurate record-keeping of attendance and progress metrics.
Document program outcomes, participant feedback, and success stories for impact measurement.
Collaborate with the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) team to gather impact data.
Partner with communications teams to produce content that highlights program achievements.
Coordinate the collection of testimonials, photography, and case studies from program events.
Ensure all partner branding and recognition activities adhere to organizational compliance standards.
