DBS Project Manager

About the Role

As a Project Manager within NOV Digital Services, you will be responsible for delivering customer projects involving Downhole Broadband Solutions and Wired Drill Pipe technology. Acting as the single point of contact for assigned customers, you will manage projects throughout their lifecycle, coordinating offshore operations, internal stakeholders and customer expectations to ensure successful delivery.

You will work closely with field engineers, project coordinators, operations, HSE, service quality, engineering and commercial teams to deliver safe, reliable and commercially successful projects. The role combines technical understanding of drilling operations with strong project management, customer engagement and stakeholder management skills.

NOV Digital Services is part of NOV's Energy Products & Services segment and delivers advanced digital technologies that improve drilling performance through real-time downhole data. Using Wired Drill Pipe (WDP) and Along-String Measurement (ASM) technologies, NOV enables customers to access high-speed downhole information that supports safer, more efficient and better-informed drilling operations.

As demand for these technologies continues to grow, we are expanding our project management team to support an increasing number of customer projects worldwide.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers throughout project execution.
• Lead the technical, operational and commercial delivery of Downhole Broadband Solutions and Wired Drill Pipe projects.
• Coordinate offshore operations, including personnel, equipment and logistics.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, drilling contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with field engineers and provide guidance to ensure high-quality project execution.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities with Operations, Engineering, HSE, Service Quality, Sales and other NOV business units.
• Monitor project progress and ensure contractual deliverables are achieved safely, on time and within scope.
• Identify operational challenges, analyse root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Support commercial activities by providing technical input for customer meetings, presentations and proposals.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement across all assigned projects.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in drilling, well construction, or offshore operations.
• Proven project management experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Norwegian and/or UK offshore industry.
• Knowledge of completion operations.
• Experience with digital drilling technologies, Wired Drill Pipe (WDP), or similar drilling systems.
• Norwegian language skills.
