Lifestart Director

Lead the scale-up of Lifestart from a fragmented and entrepreneurial set-up into a scalable, globally coordinated and commercially sustainable growth platform.

The Lifestart Director owns the Hatchery business, including its functional P&L, commercial performance, production, warehousing and operational delivery across the relevant countries and operating units.

For Nursery, ownership and P&L accountability remain with the Business Units; the Director provides global direction, coordination, alignment with innovation, and constructive performance challenge.

The Director also guides the business priorities for Lifestart R&D, while formal ownership of R&D development remains with Skretting Innovation.

What you’ll do

Lifestart has been established as one of Skretting's strategic growth priorities within the North Star strategy. As Lifestart Director, you will lead the development of this business platform and play a key role in delivering the ambition to significantly accelerate growth, value creation and market leadership.

You will own the global Hatchery business and functional P&L while providing strategic leadership and coordination for Nursery activities across the Business Units. Working across commercial, operations, technical, innovation and leadership teams, you will align priorities, build capabilities and create the operating model required to scale Lifestart into a globally coordinated business.

Key areas of focus include:

• Leading the global Hatchery business, including commercial performance, operations, production, supply network and profitability.
• Translating the Lifestart strategy into a scalable business model, governance framework and execution roadmap.
• Partnering with Business Unit leaders to drive alignment, performance improvement and capability development across Nursery.
• Shaping portfolio priorities and guiding the commercial direction of the Lifestart innovation agenda in partnership with Skretting Innovation.
• Contributing as a member of the Skretting Leadership Team and supporting delivery of the broader North Star strategy.
• Driving customer-led commercial growth through segmentation, value-based selling, key-account development and strategic partnerships.
• Building the specialist commercial, technical and operational capabilities required to scale Lifestart globally.

Who we’re looking for

• Proven senior leadership experience with direct business ownership and P&L accountability in an international and complex environment.
• Strong commercial, strategic and financial acumen, with experience scaling businesses and delivering sustainable growth.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, navigate matrix organizations and align diverse stakeholder groups around a common objective.
• Experience driving transformation, organizational development and capability building across multiple functions and geographies.
• A collaborative and entrepreneurial leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and a strong ownership mindset.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the willingness to travel frequently. Experience in aquaculture, animal nutrition or Lifestart is an advantage, but not essential.
