Operations Engineer 2

Overall Purpose of the Job

Key Activities and Accountabilities

• Providing engineering support to operational and project teams.


• Developing and reviewing engineering designs, drawings, and technical documentation.


• Producing engineering deliverables including:
  
  
  
  • Design drawings
  
  
  • Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  
  
  • Test procedures
  
  
  • Technical reports
  
  
  • Manufacturing documentation
  
  
  
  


• Performing engineering calculations and analyses to validate designs


• Designing equipment that is safe, reliable, cost-effective, and compliant with applicable standards and certification requirements


• Using 2D and 3D CAD software to create and maintain engineering designs


• Managing engineering documentation within the Product Data Management (PDM) system


• Participating in design reviews, project meetings, and technical discussions


• Supporting the training and development of engineering and operational personnel


• Reviewing and providing technical approval for supplier and contractor invoices


• Managing Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and ensuring documentation changes are processed through approved workflows in a timely manner


• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, reliability, and operational efficiency

Job Knowledge and Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline


• A minimum of 2 years' experience using computer-aided engineering techniques, including 2D and 3D modelling


• Experience producing engineering drawings and technical documentation


• Knowledge of engineering standards, systems, and best practices


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities


• A proactive approach with a commitment to quality and safety


• Experience within the oil & gas, energy, well testing, commissioning, or process industries
