Overall Purpose of the Job
We are seeking an Operations Engineer to support our Well Testing & Commissioning product line, delivering engineering solutions that meet client requirements, industry standards, and operational excellence expectations.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, collaborating with operations, manufacturing, and engineering teams to develop equipment and systems used in challenging offshore and onshore environments.
As an Operations Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the design, development, and ongoing improvement of Well Testing & Commissioning equipment.
Key Activities and Accountabilities
- Providing engineering support to operational and project teams.
- Developing and reviewing engineering designs, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Producing engineering deliverables including:
- Design drawings
- Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Test procedures
- Technical reports
- Manufacturing documentation
- Performing engineering calculations and analyses to validate designs
- Designing equipment that is safe, reliable, cost-effective, and compliant with applicable standards and certification requirements
- Using 2D and 3D CAD software to create and maintain engineering designs
- Managing engineering documentation within the Product Data Management (PDM) system
- Participating in design reviews, project meetings, and technical discussions
- Supporting the training and development of engineering and operational personnel
- Reviewing and providing technical approval for supplier and contractor invoices
- Managing Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and ensuring documentation changes are processed through approved workflows in a timely manner
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, reliability, and operational efficiency
Job Knowledge and Qualifications
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline
- A minimum of 2 years' experience using computer-aided engineering techniques, including 2D and 3D modelling
- Experience producing engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Knowledge of engineering standards, systems, and best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- A proactive approach with a commitment to quality and safety
- Experience within the oil & gas, energy, well testing, commissioning, or process industries
