Assistant Accountant

Assistant Accountant – Global Wave Group
 

Location: Albany, Auckland (Office based)
 

Employment Type: Part-time 

Reports to: Senior Accountant 

Key Responsibilities
 

• Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, receipts, and bank transactions.  

• Perform bank and account reconciliations and assist with month-end and quarter-end financial processes.  

• Prepare and maintain supporting financial documents, records, and filing systems.  

• Assist with quarterly audits by preparing documentation and responding to finance and audit-related queries.  

• Support journal entries, reconciliations, and other general accounting tasks as .  

• Monitor financial transactions and identify discrepancies or issues for review. 

Essential Requirements
 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or currently studying toward a relevant qualification. 

• Recent graduates and current students are welcome to apply. 

• Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin (written and verbal). 

• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.  

• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial record keeping.  

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.  

• Strong organisational skills, reliability, and ability to work independently.
