Manaaki Ora Trust is a kaupapa Māori organisation that has grown from the aspirations of Te Arawa to ensure Māori are healthy, live well and are able to access the services and support that they need. We are a leading service provider utilising kaupapa Māori approaches for the well-being of all people.

As a part of Manaaki Ora Trust, Te Whare Oranga Ngākau operates a 12-week residential program for whānau from across Aotearoa affected by alcohol and other substance use. The service operates 24 hours, 7 days a week on a rotating roster.

Ko wai koe / About you:

You are looking for the opportunity to use your life experience and skills developed along the way to create better outcomes for our whaiora/clients. You are open to learning and to excel in delivering the best standards of care using kaupapa Māori approaches.

Ngā pūkenga ka whai koe / Skills you will have:

• Preferably a relevant level 4 qualification in health, education or Māori arts


• You will possess the skills that allow you to work well in a team environment.


• Excellent communication skills.


• You are able to maintain and respect professional boundaries at all times.


• Must be available to work weekends and/or nights.


• We do not guarantee a minimum number of hours per week.
