Company Meat Inspector

Our Silver Fern Farms Processing Site in Pareora employs 700+ Team Members at the height of the season, located 14 minutes south of Timaru on the breath-taking Pacific coastline.

Silver Fern Farms Pareora have an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual interested in joining our team as a qualified Company Meat Inspector.

The Company Meat Inspector position is responsible for performing carcass and offal inspection duties in the Primary Butchery department, ensuring we meet our stringent product quality and customer requirements.

Te tikanga, the job requirements:

• Applicants must have a Level 4 National Certificate in Animal Product Examination or Level 4 AsureQuality Trained (Meat Inspection) in Lamb and preferably Beef
• Understanding of food manufacturing compliance
• Must be prepared to work on either day or evening shift
• Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to make decisions
• You’re an active team member who can work closely with others and bring a positive, hardworking attitude.
• Able to understand and follow health and safety, quality, and technical compliance requirements.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand.
• Must be 18 years or older to meet audit requirements.
