Job Description - Customer Services Officer (FX-PL)

About the Role


We’re looking for a motivated and organised person to step into a Customer Service Officer role, providing excellent support to our customers and branch team during a parental leave period of approximately seven months. 


Assisting our customers on the front line, your ability to communicate and connect to people will see you achieve exceptional customer service. You will be capable of remaining calm under pressure, and confident in handling customer queries with your solutions-focused approach.


Hours for this role are Monday to Friday (12.30pm - 5.30pm) and occasional Saturdays on a rotating roster 8:00am - 11:00am.


What you’ll do:



  • Process customer queries, via phone, email and face-to-face queries

  • Always adhering to company national standards of service excellence

  • Data entry and processing of misdirected/undeliverable freight

  • Reception duties including processing over the counter cash sales

  • Assisting in operational and admin duties such as freight sorting, scanning, reporting

  • Results-driven with natural problem-solving skills

  • Understanding that complaints are opportunities to build better customer experiences

  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Excellent data entry skills and experienced with Microsoft Office

  • Great listening skills and the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues

Fixed term: Fixed term parental leave cover for 7 months
