Cyclic Patrol Person

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Transport and Infrastructure business as a Cyclic Patrolperson based in the Mokau/Taumarunui area.

In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking programmed road inspections, carrying out routine maintenance activities, and responding to emergency events to help keep the roading network safe and accessible for the public. You'll work across a variety of maintenance tasks including pavement repairs, drainage maintenance, vegetation control, and clearing road obstructions while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

This is a varied and hands-on role requiring someone who can work independently, make sound decisions in the field, and respond effectively to changing operational requirements, including participation in an after-hours callout roster.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

•    Current Class 2 Driver Licence  
•    Experience in road maintenance, civil construction, or a similar outdoor operational environment is highly regarded 
•    Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental practices 
•    Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field 
•    Good communication and reporting skills 
•    Willingness to participate in an after-hours callout roster
