The Role

Based at our Highbrook branch as Day Shift Supervisor, you will require a strong desire to maintain and improve the efficient operations of the depot. You will ensure all freight is scanned, and available to meet all cycle times, with outbound freight correctly sorted and packed appropriately. You will have excellent verbal and written communication to effectively lead a team of freight handlers all while ensuring Health and Safety remains your top priority. 

This is a permanent full-time role working Monday to Friday 9:30am-7:00pm 

You will also supervise all team members in the operations area, including:

• Maintaining working Rosters.


• Providing necessary training where required.


• Recruitment of Staff


• Monitoring of Staff performance.


• Assist with loading/unloading of inbound trucks and containers


• Providing assurance that Depot functions are being kept at a high standard.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar leadership role is advantageous but not essential


• Great time communication and time management


• Monitor and improve KPI’s


• Adaptability and flexibility in a changing fast paced environment


• Foster positive working relationships with team members


• Strong focus on Health and Safety


• Sound knowledge of local and regional NZ geography


• Able to lift heavy items up to 25kgs.
