Evening Supervisor – Women’s Night Shelter

$34–$36 per hour

Every evening, women in Christchurch need a place where they feel secure, respected, and supported. As Evening Supervisor, you’ll lead our Women’s Night Shelter — guiding staff, supporting wahine in need, and ensuring each night runs safely and smoothly.
This is a practical, people-focused leadership role where your calm approach, strong judgement, and ability to hold boundaries will make a real difference.
About Us – Christchurch City Mission
The Christchurch City Mission (Te Whare Mīhana Ki Ōtautahi) helps anyone in need, no matter their situation. We work alongside people going through tough times—whether it’s due to job loss, housing issues, addiction, family difficulties, or financial stress.

About the role
You’ll lead evening operations in a dynamic environment, supporting both staff and the women staying in the shelter.
Your evenings will include:
Hours: Monday–Friday, 2:30pm–8:30pm (with flexibility to work additional hours from time to time, as required)
You’ll be part of a wider team with clear processes and support — you’re not doing this alone.
