About the Role
We are seeking two Healthcare Technicians to join our busy and supportive team on a permanent part-time basis.
This role involves working three shifts per week, with shifts rostered across a combination of morning (AM) and afternoon (PM) clinic sessions. We are looking for candidates who can be flexible with their availability, as scheduled shifts may vary. There will also be opportunities to pick up additional shifts to cover annual leave, sickness, and other operational requirements.
In this hands-on role, you will assist with patient observations, clinical procedures, health screening programmes, patient education, and clinic operations, helping deliver high-quality, community-focused healthcare every day.
What You Must Have
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate.
Willingness to work towards becoming a vaccinator.
Ideally have experience performing clinical tasks such as vital signs, electrocardiogram (ECG) recording, urinalysis, and basic wound care.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of health equity, cultural safety, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.
Experience using MedTech Evolution or similar patient management systems.
Good computer literacy and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Flexibility to work a mixture of AM and PM clinic shifts.
Legal right to work in New Zealand.
Nice to Have
Experience in primary care, urgent care, or general practice.
Experience supporting population health programmes.
Competency in spirometry, sexual health screening, or immigration medicals.
Knowledge of chronic disease management and health promotion initiatives.
