Whakarongorau, a social enterprise, is a virtual health and social services organisation with a proven record of connecting people seamlessly with care when they need it. Whakarongorau aims to be there when face to face health and social services cannot, providing consistent, clinically supported access to services for those in need or when people are unable to access other options due to location, time of day, financial or cultural barriers.

The Key Account Development Manager plays a critical role in strengthening Whakarongorau presence, relationships and growth opportunities across priority customer organisations. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role works closely with Executive leaders, operational teams, and subject matter experts to identify, shape and progress opportunities that contribute to commercial growth and improved customer outcomes.
You'll develop deep understanding of customer priorities, commissioning intentions, stakeholder networks, and emerging sector opportunities. Through structured account planning, stakeholder engagement, opportunity development, and procurement activity, you'll help position Whakarongorau as a trusted partner within the health and social sector (including Health NZ/Te Whatu Ora, ACC and Ministry of Social Development).
This role will be focused on expanding our engagement footprint, building strategic relationships, and supporting the successful progression of growth opportunities. You will act as a connector across customers and internal teams, ensuring valuable insights, opportunities, and market intelligence are translated into future services, partnerships, and sustainable organisational growth,
