Night CCTV Operator - LynnMall

Support one of Auckland’s busiest retail environments through dedicated overnight CCTV monitoring, incident detection, security response coordination, and frontline guarding duties. This permanent position plays a key role in helping keep LynnMall safe, secure, and welcoming for retailers, contractors, staff, and the public.

This role is working on a fixed Sunday - Thursday night shift roster, shift times are 2000-0600.

The Role

As an Overnight CCTV Operator at LynnMall, you’ll be responsible for monitoring CCTV systems overnight to identify suspicious behaviour, safety concerns, incidents, and security risks while supporting the wider security operation through strong communication, accurate reporting, and coordinated incident response. You’ll also assist with day and evening guarding shifts as required, making this a varied role suited to someone who thrives in both control room and frontline environments.

What You'll Be Doing

• Monitor CCTV systems and identify security and safety risks.

• Respond to incidents and escalate issues as required.

• Complete accurate reports, CCTV logs, and shift handovers.

• Support access control, alarms, welfare checks, and site security activities.

• Coordinate with security teams, contractors, and emergency services.

• Conduct guarding duties across day, evening, and overnight shifts.

• Maintain confidentiality when handling CCTV footage and sensitive information.

• Deliver professional customer service and contribute to a positive team environment.

What You'll Bring

• Previous security, control room, or retail security experience is desirable, although not essential.

• Previous CCTV experience.

• A current Certificate of Approval (COA), or the ability to obtain one.

• Strong observation, communication, and reporting skills.

• Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions under pressure.

• High integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information.

• Confidence working independently and as part of a team.

• Professional customer service skills and presentation.

• Reliable, flexible, and safety-focused.

• Eligible to work in New Zealand and aged 18+.
