Job Description - Perinatal Mental Health Clinician - 0.4 FTE

About the Role



Ideally suited for a Clinical Psychologist, Allied Health Professional or Registered Nurse with experience in mental health care.  Whānau Whakapuawai is a kaupapa Māori Perinatal Mental Health service. This initiative is focused on addressing a significant gap in services to assist whānau Māori working through perinatal mental health issues such as postnatal depression and anxiety. The service offers a te awa whiria or braided river approach to care, integrating mātauranga Māori, cultural interventions and Western therapeutic modalities. 




  • Are you passionate about the wellbeing of Māori whānau? 



  • Do you have experience in mental health, perinatal/maternal mental health? 



  • Are you keen to work for a kaupapa Māori community organisation? 



We would love to hear from you if you are a Clinical Psychologist, Allied Health Professional or Registered Nurse with experience in mental health care to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team. Key service objectives include supporting Māori mother's/birthing parents working through complex needs, facilitating cultural connection and identity for whānau, and to whakamana whānau.
