About Humphreys Landscaping

Humphreys Landscaping is an award-winning leader in premium residential landscaping and outdoor environments. Our Pools Division designs, builds, renovates, services, and maintains some of Auckland's finest residential swimming pools, with a strong reputation for quality, technical expertise, and outstanding service.

We are looking for an experienced Pool Service expert who knows pools, understands clients, leads people and enjoys using their expertise to recommend solutions that genuinely add value.

This is not a desk-based Account Manager role. You will be out with the team, leading from the front, tackling complex technical work, advising clients, identifying opportunities to improve their pools, and developing the capability of our Pool Service Technicians.

About the Role

Reporting to the Divisional Manager – Pools, you will play a key role in the day-to-day performance and development of our Pool Service team.

You will work alongside our technicians, providing technical leadership, coaching, and hands-on support. Just as importantly, you will build trusted client relationships, understand what each pool needs, and recommend the right service, repair, or upgrade solutions to keep pools healthy, reliable, efficient, and beautiful. Sales in this role is about adding value through expertise and following those solutions through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading from the front on complex pool servicing, repairs, and technical troubleshooting


• Coaching and developing technicians to build capability, quality, and efficiency


• Building trusted client relationships and proactively advising on how to keep pools performing and looking their best


• Recommending, quoting, and progressing the right service, repair, upgrade, and preventative solutions for each client


• Working with scheduling and the wider Pools team to deliver quality work safely, efficiently, and on time


• Contributing as a positive leader within the Pools Division and continually improving how we work

What You Will Bring

• At least five years' experience across pool valet and pool servicing, including experience supervising or training others


• Advanced technical knowledge of swimming pool systems, equipment, water chemistry, plumbing, and pump shed configurations


• Strong troubleshooting skills and confidence advising clients on the right technical solutions


• Experience with job costing, quoting, and turning client needs into valuable service, repair, and upgrade solutions


• A hands-on leadership style that earns respect and helps others grow


• Strong client relationships, communication skills, and pride in keeping pools performing and looking exceptional
